Adolescent Treatment
Adolescence is a crucial time as young people transition from childhood to
adulthood. They are exploring their identity while learning to make decisions
that determine their future. Today's teens are dealing with unprecedented
levels of stress, placing them at risk for academic or behavioral challenges,
drug abuse, eating disorders, anxiety and depression.
For parents, it's a confusing time as they try to help their teen deal with the
stress of modern life. Additionally, all teens are struggling with the attempt to
gain more freedom and individuate from their parents. However, a parent's
influence is more important than ever as teens are being launched.
It may be a relief to discover that parents can't do it all. Many parents need
guidance to help their sons and daughters thrive. It has been proven that a
healthy community of support is the best predictor of a successful outcome
when raising young people.
Teens need someone to talk as well, but they often don't want to talk to their parents. As therapists, we serve as mentors who provide a positive influence.
We support teens to make healthy decisions and get their lives back on track.
Mission: Guiding young people to live with integrity so they can become happy, successful adults.

- needing a safe and caring place to share their concerns, guide their actions, foster their development and celebrate their success
- starting to exhibit the first signs of difficulty (defiant attitude, trouble in school, challenging peer relationships, resistance to finding or keeping a job)
- in the later stages of crisis (drug abuse, eating disorders, lack of respect, aggression, criminal activity, isolation, and depression)
