Lorraine Platt, MA, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Lorraine developed her expertise counseling adolescents at Ohlhoff Intensive Outpatient Recovery Program in San Francisco. She supported teens and their families to recover from addictions, eating disorders, and codependency while also facilitating groups for adolescent girls.
After assessing hundreds of families, she is skilled at determining the level of treatment required for teens to get back on track and lead happy, successful lives. She is especially passionate about teaching young women to thrive and create healthy relationships with others.
She is a Certified Girls Circle Facilitator and a member of The Youth Addiction & Suicide Prevention Coalition and The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Richard Platt, MA, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified Professional Coach
For over 13 years, Richard has counseled families through the toughest challenges of raising young men; such as drug and alcohol abuse, and other acting out behaviors. For 3.5 years he was a therapist at Adolescent Recovery Services an Intensive Outpatient Program in Marin, where he effectively worked with teens and their families in individual and group formats.
He has mentored at camps and outdoor education programs, including the Youth Leadership Conference and the Young Men's Ultimate Weekend. He is also an active member of The Youth Addiction & Suicide Prevention Coalition, the non-profit Young Men's Ultimate Weekend, and The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
In addition to counseling, Richard mentors young men through outdoor activities, such as hiking and Native American sweat lodges. Richard enjoys helping young men discover their unique qualities, as well as their role of responsibly serving and protecting their community.

Kristin Wheel, MS, Administrative Assistant
Kristin supports Teen Solutions as an administrative assistant. As a graduate of Tam High she has an intimate understanding of teenage life in Marin. She has a BA in Sociology from UCLA and is currently earning a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University of California, which she will ultimately use to become a licensed marriage and family therapist.
Kristin is currently in a fieldwork placement position at Family Service Agency where she works with children in an elementary school setting, supports people of all ages struggling with grief, loss, and bereavement issues, and helps those in various stages of crisis on Marin County's Suicide Prevention and Community Counseling hotline.
To relax and rejuvenate, Kristin enjoys cooking, swimming, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.

David R. Heckenlively, MS, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
David developed his expertise treating adolescents over 14 years in school counseling, outpatient recovery, and acute psychiatric settings. He more recently worked as a family reunion and field therapist at a reputable adolescent wilderness program. David has evaluated well over 100 therapeutic programs and schools over the past eight years, and continues to travel on a regular basis.
David is realizing his vision of guiding parents and their children out of difficult times and through the best social, emotional, therapeutic and educational programs and experiences that exist across the country.
