Youth Quest The Youth Quest is a wilderness rite of passage journey for teens (ages 15-19) who want to know themselves and their path more clearly, who want to mark the changes in their lives and are ready to step into their power and responsibility as young adults. This adventure into the desert mountains involves both alone and group time in the wilderness. It's a time for reflection, inward journeying, creativity and relating to nature. Parents are encouraged to participate in pre- and post-trip activities to witness and support this rite of passage for their son or daughter. |

Project Freedom Quest In ancient traditions, young men went away from the village on a quest. They faced challenges, overcame fears, and discovered their deep connection to the Earth. Returning from the journey they were welcomed into the village as men. Project Freedom Quest continues this tradition in a week-long backpacking trip into the Mendocino wilderness with a small group of young men, aged 14-17, and two guides. Activities will range from simple thought exercises to group challenges. Each young man will be challenged on a personal level to deepen his knowledge of his own self and to feel his bond to all things. |
