We look at a teen’s grades and job experience, future goals, and family expectations. Depending on where they are in the process, we counsel youth to adjust to high school, find jobs, and prepare for college. - Social Relationships
We address peer relations and how they are supporting or interfering with a teen’s success and self-esteem. We counsel youth to create healthy friendships with peers who are trustworthy and respect them for who they are. We ensure that peer influence is balanced with the needs of the family and the well-being of their community. - Family Life
We are interested in understanding the impact of the youth’s behavior on the family and vice-versa. We also explore relevant factors such as the family’s strengths, hopes, expectations, and values. We find where relationships can be strengthened to bring the family together. - Emotional Well-Being
We thoroughly assess your teen’s emotional and psychological state so that the source of their challenges can be directly addressed. Youth often isolate, act out or make poor decisions due to anxiety, depression, substance abuse or eating disorders.
Aftercare Youth Treatment in Marin
We develop Aftercare Youth Treatment Plans for the family whose child is returning home from wilderness programs, boarding schools and residential treatment. Because these programs create such rapid growth and change, the transition back to home life can be challenging for the entire family. To have a healthy reunion, it is essential that the family receives counseling while the child is away.
